The decision on a new sentence for Royal Marine Alexander Blackman for the manslaughter of an injured Taliban fighter in Afghanistan will now be announced on Tuesday (March 28) by the Court Martial Appeal Court.
Sergeant Alexander Blackman, from Taunton, who has served three and a half years in prison after he was first convicted of murder in 2013, was expected to receive a significantly reduced sentence today, following a successful appeal last month.
