UPDATE, 5pm: Police have revealed details of the crash and that, sadly, they were forced to shoot an injured and distressed bull that was loose on the M5.
UPDATE, 3pm: All lanes of the M5 have been reopened after an escaped bull and possibly more livestock caused it to shut this afternoon.
Police have said traffic is "very slow" due to the earlier closure on the M5 Northbound between junction 25 with the A358 for Taunton and junction 24 for the A38 for Bridgwater South.
