A multi-vehicle crash has brought traffic to a standstill on the M5 this evening.
UPDATE, 8pm: The police have said a car driving in the WRONG direction closed the M5 between Taunton and Bridgwater after hitting several cars
The southbound carriageway has been shut because of the crash, which has reportedly blocked the motorway.
It is believed to have taken place between junction 24 at Bridgwater South and junction 25 at Taunton.
